Felix Ray Johnson, 75 of Barbourville, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at his home. He was born in Barbourville on March 17, 1950, a son of the late Felix and Mayme Jackson Johnshon. Ray was a believer in the Baptist Faith and had been a member of the Old Time Missionary Baptist Church. Ray was Master Mason, Past Master, Shriner, and Kentucky Colonel. He had been a contractor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Ray Johnson; grandchildren, Kevin Lee Brown and Corey Douglas Brown; and sisters, Janet Faye Shelton, Shirley Sue Bargo, Georgia Mae Johnson, and Phyllis Ruth Smith.

Ray is survived by his wife of 47 years, Debbie Sue McWilliams Johnson; daughters, Mary Brown and husband, Gillis, and Hope Phipps and husband, Michael; son, Douglas Johnson and wife, Wanda; grandchildren, Dalton Johnson, Dylan Brown, Emma Johnson, Kaitlyn Brown, Christopher Phipps, and Benjamin Phipps; sisters, Betty Jean Centers, Ruby Ann Begley, and Mary Joyce Hammons and husband, Marvin; brother, Charles Douglas “Doug” Johnson; brothers-in-law, Otis Smith and Oscar Shelton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Per Ray’s request, no services will be held. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville is honored to serve the Johnson Family.
