Evie Jones Garrett

Evie Garrett, 88, of Four Mile, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Green Briar on March 10, 1928 a daughter of the late William and Bessie North Jones. She had worked in housekeeping at Pineville Community Hospital for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Garrett; brothers and sisters, Bud Jones, Randall Jones, Casey Jones, John Parrott Jones, Albert Jones, Lester Jones, Molly Epperson, Ollie Trosper and Jessie Collins. Survivors include her sons, Bobby Garrett and Paul and wife, Rose Garrett , step-grandchildren, Robert Messer and Jimmy Gwinner; step-great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Nora Messer, special friends, the Parrott's, Lois Woods and Sandy Hembree and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be at 12 Noon Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Brooks and Mr. Bill Bailey. The family will receive friends from 10 until the service hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Garrett Family. Memorial Visitation
