Evelyn Carnes Warren

Evelyn Carnes Warren, 82, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Walker, KY, on June 19, 1933, a daughter of the late George and Mossie Bargo Carnes. She was a member of Arjay Baptist Church and had been a cook at Arjay Elementary School. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jeff Jr. Warren; grandson, Joe Eugene Taylor; brothers, George Jr., Alonzo, Cloyd, McCoy, Lee Roy, Raymond and Flem Carnes; and sisters, Edna Messer and Dorothy Carnes. Survivors include her children, Kathy Warren of Pineville, Douglas Jeff Warren and wife Elizabeth of Cumberland Gap, Michael Brown Warren and wife Debbie of Straight Creek, Steve Warren and wife Linda of Arjay, Tresa Fee of Pineville, and a special son, Delbert Cox and wife Mary; grandchildren, Luke Akers, Dustin Warren, Nicole Warren Carter and husband Sammy, Jeff Warren and wife Jessica, Adam Warren and wife Stephanie, Matthew Warren, Stephen Vernon Warren, Sabrina Warren Cross and husband Patrick, Misty Fee, Callie Cox, Delbert Cox, Jr., Hope Fugate and Natosha Cox; great-grand children, Luke Xavier Akers, Kellie Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Kahne Carter, Kole Carter, Khloe Carter, Ethan Warren, Lillian Warren, Lexie Wise, Jaxson Warren, Stephanie Christopher, Matthew Hoskins; special nieces, Sherry and Tonya Moore and Carol Gambrel and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral with Dr. Ron Howard and Rev. Tim Mills. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro with her grandsons, family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9:00 PM on Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Warren family.
