Evelyn Wells Sanders

Evelyn Wells Sanders, 75, formerly of Arjay, passed away at her daughters home in Corbin on Friday, August 25, 2017. She was born in Rella, Kentucky on March 5, 1942, and was a daughter of the late Willie Raymond and Lucy Honeycutt Wells. Evelyn had worked in manufacturing jobs for many years with the Vera Bradley, General Motors and Kitty Hawk companies, and had been a volunteer for the Bell County Volunteer Fire Department and FEMA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Estel Sanders, Sr., son, Rodney Sanders, brothers, Randy and Willie Sanders, and sister, Patsy Thomas. Survivors include her children, Bruce Sanders and wife, Benita, of Pineville, Debbie Cashen and husband, Walt of Corbin, Dennis Sanders and wife, Michelle of Bimble, and Jason Sanders and wife, Tonya, of Pineville; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica and Kevin Sanders, Clint Cashen, Brandy Sanders, Brooke and Caleb Sanders, Trent and Lexi Sanders; great-grandchildren, Brody and Brylee Sanders; brothers and sisters, Imogene Trosper, Johnny Wells, Carol Caccamo, Michael Wells, Charmaine Sanders and Juanita Bunn; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 PM on Saturday, August 26 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville. A private family graveside service will be held at the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens with her grandson, Rev. Jeremy Sanders officiating. Evelyn's sons and grandsons are serving as pallbearers..
