Evelyn Jones Main

Evelyn Jones Main, 89 of Pineville, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at her home. She was born in Pineville on April 30, 1923, and was a daughter of the late William Green Jones and Rose Ellen Creech Jones. Evelyn was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church and had been a Homemaker, extraordinary cook, flower gardener, maker of beautiful needlework and had a great love of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, John C. 'Pete' Main; brothers and sisters, Florence Hampton, Tilman Hollingsworth, Bill Hollingsworth, Millard Jones, Pauline Gantt and Jesse Jones. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Rose Langford and her husband, Edwin of Frankfort, KY; grandchildren, Florence Elizabeth Jackson, Robert Sean Young and John Phillip Young; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Cox and Jacob Jackson; sister-in-law, Dorothy Philpot; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, close friends and caregivers.
