Evan Philpot, Jr.

Evan Philpot, Jr., 94 of Middlesboro, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the Middlesboro ARH. He was born in Straight Creek on December 30, 1929, a son of the late Evan Sr. and Ellen Denny Philpot. Evan was a member of the Harrogate Christian Tabernacle Church of God and had worked in an electronics factory.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Virgie Maiden Philpot; and siblings, Fredrick Philpot and wife, Eva, Lee Philpot and wife, Ruth, Milli Phillips and husband, Johnny, and Haston Philpot.

Evan is survived by his son, Evan Philpot; brother, Earl Philpot and wife, Dorothy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro with Rev. Tim Goins and Rev. James Ward presiding.
