Eugene Roper

Eugene Davis ?Gene? Roper, 79 of Pineville passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Pineville on March 15, 1930 a son of the late Jefferson Davis and Elizabeth Bowman Roper. Gene had been a custodian for the First Methodist Church in Pineville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Curtis ?Squirt? Brock and brothers, Jeffrey, John and Billy Roper. Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda Roper Patterson and husband, Clifford; son, Steve Roper and wife Rhonda; grandchildren, Joey, Jackie, Jessie, Jordyn and Thomas Jordan; mother of his children, Helen Roper; brothers, Fred Roper and wife Pat, and Doug Roper; and a host of other relative and friends.
