Eugene Evans

Eugene Evans, age 85, of Speedwell passed away Jan., 15, 2016. Born Mar., 3, 1930 to the late Hugh and Mabel Heatherly Evans. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers - Fred, Robert, and Roscoe, & sisters - Leona, Sally, Irene, and Luella. He was a member of Shady Grove Church, a veteran of the Korean War, and member of local 1123 AFLCIO.

Survivors include wife, Billie Jean Leach Evans of Speedwell, sons - Danny Eugene (& Mary Ellen) of Speedwell and Roger Dale (& Cheryl) Evans of North Canton, Ohio, sisters - Ozella, Pauline, Evelyn, and Betty and grandchildren - Deidre Elizabeth, Kristina Renee, Danielle, and Mitch and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service 7 PM Monday, January 18 at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Keck and Rev. Gary Mundy officiating. Music provided by Brian and Cathy Giles. The family will receive friends from 5-7. Graveside Service 11 AM Tuesday at the Sharp-Clark Cemetery with full military honors provided by Tri County Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers: Jerry Evans, David Evans, Mark Russell, Tad Russell, David Coffey, and Mike Pebley. Honorary pallbearers: Mike Keck and Ray Masingo.
