Ethel Blanton Saylor

Ethel Blanton Saylor, 73, of Pineville, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2014, at the Laurel Manor Nursing Home. She was born on March 21, 1941, in Harlan County a daughter of the late Gorman and Lettie Caldwell Blanton. Ethel believed in the Holiness faith and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Saylor; sister, Beulah Faye Thompson and brother, George Blanton. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Wesley and Melvina Saylor; Henry 'Mickey' and Diane Saylor and Rosetta and Paul Haley; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Burley Blanton, Grant Blanton; Lee Blanton and Calloway Blanton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Haley and Saylor Cemetery at Pineville with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Saylor Family.
