Esther May Collett York, 68, of Arjay went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at her home. She was born in Red Bird on May 4, 1948, a daughter of Pauline Roark Collett and the late Walden Collett. She was a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dewonna Michelle Bradley; sisters-in-law, Sharon Collett and Brenda Collett, nephew, Ricky Goodin and great-niece, Brittany Goodin. Survivors include her husband, Charles York; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Dewayne and DeJuana York; son-in-law, Kevin Bradley, grandchildren, Michael Bradley, Hannah Bradley and Saul Rodriguez, Clayton and Chelsea York, Justin and Keishia Powers; great-grandchildren, Gavin Carter, Nathan and Trinity Powers and Mason and Brylee York; brothers, Hershel and Sharon Collett, Walden Collett, Jr. and Luther Collett; sister-in-law, Carolyn Leath; brothersin-law, James York and Bill York, adopted sons and daughter, Doug Hammett, Wendell Fuson and Michelle Woolum, adopted grandchildren, Kelly and Stacey Carnes, Josh Smith, Josh Gipson and Jerry Wayne Smith; adopted great-grandchildren, Samuel and Bentley Carnes; and a host of cherished and loved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at the Victory Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Polly, Rev. David Rice, Rev. Paul Long and Rev. Danny Robbins. Music will be by Theda Polly and Family and CHT Worship Team. Burial will follow in the Asher Fork Cemetery at Red Bird, KY. Pallbearers will be Clayton York, Justin Powers, Saul Rodriguez, James York, John Hobbs, Kevin Bradley and Doug Hammett. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 until 9 :00 PM and Thursday from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM at the Victory Missionary Baptist Church, Arjay.
