Emma Saylor Brummett

Emma Saylor Brummett, 81, of Pineville passed away on Friday, February 02, 2018 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. She was born in Beverly, KY on September 16, 1936, a daughter of the late Rev. A.D. and Sarah Brock Saylor. Emma was a member of Crockett-Saylor Pentecostal Church. She had been a faithful servant of the Lord for 69 years after she had received the Holy Ghost at age 12. In addition to being a devoted Christian, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by many. She was preceded in death by her husband George for whom she was married for 42 years. She also joins her only daughter Sarah Diana Borden as well as several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her sons and their wives, Konomos and June Brummett of Harrogate, TN and Bobby and Lisa Brummett of Pineville, KY; Grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Carissa Brummett of Fort Wayne, IN, Jamie Brummett of Middlesboro, KY, Kimberly and Ryan Blevins of Morristown, TN and Felicia and Alan Saylor of Pineville, KY; Step Grandson and his wife, Daniel and Jaylen Saylor. Great-grandchildren, Amy Baker, Dustin Baker, Alexa Brummett, Aubree Brummett, Riley Blevins, Noah Blevins, Abagail Saylor and A.J. Saylor; Step Great-grandchildren, Aiden Saylor and Alex Shepherd. Brothers, Edmund Saylor of Pontiac, MI, Jordan (Edith) Saylor of Somerset, KY, and A.D. Saylor of Fort Wayne, IN and sister Viola (Slusher) Brummett of Fort Wayne, IN. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends. Servicees will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Crocket-Saylor Pentecostal Church with Rev. Ronnie Hoskins, Rev. Demus Couch, Rev. Richard Asher, Rev. Freddie Johnson and Rev. Joe Junior Caldwell. Music by members of Crockett-Saylor Pentecostal Church. Burial will be in the Brummett Cemetery, Sims Fork. Pallbearers will be Jason Brummett, Ryan Blevins, Dustin Baker, Kenny Howard, Ricky Saylor, Jeremy Sanders, Stanley Hoskins and Matthew Brock. The family will receive friends on Sunday after 5:00 PM all day Monday and until the funeral hour on Tuesday at the Saylor-Crockett Pentecostal Church.
