Elsie Baker Jones

Elsie Baker Jones, 105, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at the Pineville Community Hospital skilled Nursing Facility. She was born in Laurel Branch, KY on May 29, 1910 a daughter of the late John and Sarah Ellen Warren Baker. She was a believer in the Pentecostal Faith and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Silas B. Jones, two sons, Jasper and Lee Jones; brothers and sisters, Gracie Warren, Arizona Mills, Mary Taylor and Garrett Broughton. Survivors include her children, Leonard and Edith Jones, Edna Warren, Raymond and Wilma Jones, Linda Jones, Reed Jones, Fronda and Alvie Smith, Doris and Ronald Wright, Lowell and Marlene Jones; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Carl Jones and Rev. Randall Beverly. Music will be by Rosemary Jones. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Gardens with grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Monday and Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to service the Jones Family. .
