Elsie Mae Johnson

Elsie Mae Johnson, 53 of Middlesboro, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. She was born in Pineville on May 19, 1968, a daughter of the late James Jr. and Edith Stewart Johnson. Elsie loved to sing for Jesus and loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ricky Sue Johnson and Carolyn Sue Johnson; and brother, Harold “Hunk” Johnson. Elsie is survived by her sisters, Linda Mills of Middlesboro, Rita Johnson of Middlesboro, and Martina Rogers and husband, Jerry of Lockland, Ohio; brothers, Van Johnson and wife, Henrietta of Harrogate, Tennessee, Frank Johnson and wife, Lisa of Middlesboro, James Johnson and wife, Beverly of Pineville, Mike Johnson and wife, Tina of Pineville, and Robert Johnson of Middlesboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Pinelawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Frank Johnson presiding. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
