Mae Tolliver

Ella Mae Tolliver, 74, of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at the North Knoxville Medical Center. She was born on August 13, 1952 in Rose Hill, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Eugene and Kathleen Clouse. Mae had worked for many years at the Middlesboro Walmart stocking shelves of products all over the store.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Gary Young; and sister, Lisa Higdon.

Mae is survived by her husband of 35 years, Franklin Tolliver; her son, that she shared a very special bond with, Joe Young; step-son, Matthew Tolliver and wife, Amber; grandchildren, Taylor Young and Morgan Tolliver; sister, Coleen Thomas and husband, James; brother, Donnie Clouse and wife, Katherine; sister-in-law, Cathy Pauley and husband, Fred; nieces and nephews, Austin, Daniel, Stephen, Jonathan, Megan, Jennifer, Jamie and Deanna; great-nieces and nephews, Dallas, Nezzie and Hope; Taylor’s mother, that Mae remained close to, Christine Daniels; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 16 at Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Friday after 12:00 PM until funeral hour at Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate, which is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Mae Tolliver.
