Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Qualls Wilder, 71, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at her home. She was born in Hazard, KY on March 7, 1953, a daughter of the late, Frank, Jr and Itha Berniece Mountain Qualls. She was a member of Blackmont Baptist Church and had worked at Bell County School System as a teacher and counselor for twenty five years. Libby was a sweet woman, who was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved her grandchildren, family, and time at the beach.
Libby is survived by her husband of 54 years, Arnold Wilder, Jr.; children, Kristy Wilder Emery and husband, George and Richard Wilder and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, William Frank Emery (Ashley Lake), Charlie Colton Wilder and Emma Marie Ramsey; great-granddaughter, Memphis Rose Ramsey; sisters, Sue Karen Qualls and Patti Diane Shelby and husband, David and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Howard. Music will be by Tomassa Risner. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery in Calloway. Pallbearers will be Steve Hudson, Joshua Collins, Adam Frederick, Dalton Reynolds, William Emery and Colton Wilder. Honorary pallbearers are all her former students who deeply loved her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2024,from 12 until 2:00PM at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Wilder Family.
