Elizabeth Walden

Elizabeth Ann ?Mamaw E.? Ely, 86 of Pineville, KY went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville, TN. She was born in Norton, Virginia on July 10, 1924, the daughter of the late Taylor and Margaret Walden. She was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, always finding Love and Joy in serving her family and others. She was a faithful member at West Pineville Baptist Church and loved by all. Elizabeth married Charles B. Ely, Sr., in Pennington Gap, VA. Their love story was a match made in heaven. In 1955, they packed up their five children and came to Kentucky to make their home, with Charles working for Kentucky Utilities. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Charles B. Ely, Sr.; brother, Bill Walden; son-in-law, Adam Stacy III; great-grandchildren, Trey Biliter and Ashley Biliter; great-great-grandson, Christopher Allen Robbins. Survivors include her five children, Kate and Bob Hendrickson, C.B. and Laura Lee Ely, Mary Margaret Stacy, Phyllis and Honsel Biliter and Wanda and Lyle Bailey; eleven grandchildren, Robin and Aubrey Smith, Chuck and Lisa Ely, Clayton and Diana Ely, Becky and Mike Jones, Bobby and Vicki Hendrickson, Lisa Gail Gibbs, Curt and Lawana Biliter, Catherine and Matt Siler, Chad and Danita Biliter, Carla Beth and Ben Burnette and Courtney and Russ Rutherford; twenty-four great-grandchildren, Brittany, Will and Ty Smith, Jennifer and Sara Ely, Rachel and Emily Ely, Adam Michael Jones, Blake, Madison and Cade Hendrickson, Krista, Whitney and Brooke Gibbs, Lauren Taylor, Jordan and Megan Biliter, Drew and Chloe Ely, Evan and Kamryn Biliter, Cole and Anna Brunette and Eli Rutherford.
