Elbert L. Gilbert

Elbert "Lawrence" Gilbert, Age 70, of Tazewell, Tn. went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2013. He passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a loving husband, dad, papaw, brother, and friend to everyone. He worked many years at Brownie's Creek and was known as "TH".

He is preceded in death by his loving wife: Gypsie Gilbert, son: Eddie Gilbert, Parents: Elbert & Ruth Gilbert, Brother: David Gilbert, Nephew: Jeffrey Bussell.

He is survived by his daughters: Mellissa (Arthur) Warf, Angie Gilbert and Jerry Goodman, Tazewell, Tn.

Sons: Tim Gilbert, Bobby (Lynda) Gilbert of Middlesboro, Ky.

Brothers: Jackie (Melinda) Gilbert and Jerry (Susie) Gilbert, Michael (Flora) Gilbert, Ralph (Faye) Bussell of Harrogate, Tn. Charles (Aggie) Good of Middlesboro, Ky. and William (Carolyn) Caldwell of Strawberry Plains, Tn.

14 Grandchildren and 16 Great grandchildren who loved him dearly. Host of family and friends.

Rev. Justin Gilbert and Rev. Jackie Daniels will officiate with Brittany Gilbert and Angela Bussell providing music.

He never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by all.
