Edward L. "Eddie" Stoner

September 16, 1957 — September 25, 2021

Eddie Stoner was born on September 16, 1957 in Monroe, Michigan and went home to be with the Lord on September 25, 2021. He was saved at a young age and was strong in his faith and that faith has carried him home. Eddie was a hard worker, he was a coal miner and worked with coal for most of his life. We can’t imagine how empty it will feel to spend time on the basketball court or football field without Eddie. He was built with a love for all things sports and evolved to share many family gatherings and other activities together over the years. He enjoyed camping and fishing. With his passing, Eddie is leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and generosity. He was a rock of stability and a source of strength for our whole family. It was impossible to spend time with him without enjoying a gut-busting laugh at some point in the conversation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Betty Stage Stoner; mother and father-in-law, Martin “Mo” and Viola Green; his brother, Joseph Stoner; and sister-in-law, Tammy Stoner. Eddie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Nancy Stoner; sons, Kenny Stoner, and Sam Stoner; daughter-in-Law Arielle Stoner; Grandsons, Blake Stoner, Bryson Stoner, Ayden Stoner, and Emmett Stoner; Brother, Bob and wife, Leigh Stoner; Sister, Barb and husband, Kenneth Brown; Uncle Bill & Aunt Carol Stage; Uncle Dan and Aunt Barb Stage; Special friend David Lamb; and A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Celebration of Life will take place at 4:30 PM on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Dunlap Baptist Church in Middlesboro and spreading of ashes on Cherokee Lake to follow. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Stoner, Sam Stoner, Bob Stoner, David Lamb, Blake Stoner, Bryson Stoner, Ayden Stoner, Emmett Stoner, and Kris Green.
