Edna Mae Mills, 79 of the Calloway Community went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Middlesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was born in Evarts, Kentucky on May 11, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Fred and Edith Lockhart Huckleby. Edna was a mother and homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Mills; daughter, Susan Renee Taylor; and brothers, Edward, Kelly, Thomas Lee, and Fred Huckleby. Survivors include her son, Russell Mills and wife, Melanie; grandchildren, Staff Sergeant Matthew Shane Mills and wife, Hannah, Corey Mills, Braden Mills, Jerrid Taylor and Jessica Taylor; her son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Victoria Taylor; great-granddaughter, Emma Mills; brother, Douglas Huckleby; special friends, Sandra Webb, Dinah Jaggers and Jerry and Vickie Burke; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and a special thank you to the family of caretakers at Middlesboro Nursing and Rehab, who took loving care of Edna. A graveside funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 15 at the Lewis Cemetery in Calloway with Rev. J.C. Craig and Rev. David Rice. Music will be by Larry and Debbie Green and Adrienne Mason. Pallbearers will be Jerrid Taylor, Corey Mills, Braden Mills, Jerry Taylor, Bill Rice, Al Webb, Tanner Asher, Austin Asher and Gauge Bauer. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Shane Mills, Max Gilbert, Larry Green, Danny Moore, Eli Craig and Dave Arvin.
