Mary "Edna" Jessie, age 87, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at her home in Speedwell, TN. She was preceded in death by parents, Lloyd and Hallie Jessie; sisters, Ethel Jessie and Viola Carey; brothers, Houston Jessie, George Jessie and William L. Jessie.

Survivors, brothers, Wade (& Georgia) Jessie of Speedwell, TN, and Frank Jessie of Jonesborough, TN; sister, Minnie Hunley of Speedwell, TN; a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like thank the staff of Amedisys, especially Amanda; Suncrest Hospice, especially Adam; and caregiver, Mary Jane Shackelford.

Funeral services 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Flatwoods Church with Rev. Tommy Cutcher and Rev. Elbert Hunley officiating. Music by Glenda Cutcher and the Flatwoods Freewill Baptist Church Choir. Burial 11:00 Thursday in the Flatwoods Cemetery. Pallbearers, Brian Jessie, Wayne Jessie, Robin Jessie, Bob Hunley, Jim Jessie, Mike Jessie and Randy Hunley. Visitation 5-7 Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Flatwoods Church.
