Edna Marie Reynold Dye, 76 of Corbin, formerly of Bell County, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was born in Black Star on May 10, 1946, a daughter of the late Roscoe and Drucilla Pruitt Reynolds. Edna had been a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dye, and sisters, Janice Saylor, Delphia Bryant, Wilma Hall and Virgie Reynolds.
Edna is survived by her children, Debra Roark and her husband, Aaron, Kathy Dye, Delbert Reynolds, and Tony Dye and his wife, Sheryl; eighteen grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; brother, Darrell Reynolds and his wife, Margie; sisters, Ethel Clotene and Rufus “Hoover” Saylor, and Faye Slusher; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services will be on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. David Howard presiding. Burial will follow at the Tackett Hill Cemetery in Hulen with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
