Edith Laws

Edith Laws, 88, of Pineville, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Greasy Creek, KY on February 20, 1920, the daughter of the late Thomas Weaver and Nevada Hoskins Thompson. She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hubert Laws and brothers and sisters, Boyd, Herbert, Ned, Calloway, Eulis ?Speedy? and Millard ?Shorty? Thompson, Nancy Jones, Grace Brock, Juanita Shelton and Mollie Brown. Survivors include her children, Larry and Kathy Sturgill, James Terry and Beulah Laws, Hubert Jerry and Lois Laws and Sharon Laws, seven grandchildren, four gret-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
