Earl Jackson

Earl Jackson, 73, of Laurel Hill, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Pineville on November 19,1944 a son of the late Gillis and Roszinna Simpson Jackson. Earl had worked at Pine Mountain State Park in the Maintenance Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Jackson; brothers, John Henry Jackson, George Jackson, Eugene Jackson and Gillis Jackson, Jr.. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda Hurley Jackson; daughters, Teresa and Kevin Hunter of Laurel Hill; Rita and Tim Edmondson of Pineville; son, Chris Place of Lima, OH; grandchildren, L.J. Rose, Shelby Hunter, Emmalyn Edmondson, Samantha Place, Tasha, Brandi and Kasey Hunter; sisters, Alene Osborne, of Laurel Hill, Marlene and Johnny Partin of Ohio City, OH; brother, Donald and Doris Jackson of Laurel Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be on Thursday at 12:30 PM at Powell Valley Association Building with Elder Rick Dorton and Elder Randall Miracle. Burial will be in the Earl Jackson Cemetery on Laurel Hill. Pallbearers will be Steve Jackson, Keith Osborne, David Wayne Jackson, Aaron Jackson, Kyle Osborn, Kevin Osborn, Donald Jackson, James Jackson and Adam Jackson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 until 8:00 PM at the Powell Valley Association Building on Laurel Hill.
