Dwight E. Dean, 72, of Pineville, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Harlan on August 21, 1945 a son of the late W.S. 'Bill' and Hattie Belcher Dean . He had been a member of East Jellico Baptist Church since 1958. A Retired Coal and Copper Miner and had worked at Mountain Drive Coal and Freeport McMoran Copper and Gold Mines. Mr. Dean was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Gambrell. Survivors include his wife, Charlene Miracle Dean; children, Shana Dean and Greg Dean; daughter-in-law, Misty Dean; grandchildren, Kristen Dean, Jacob Hamblin, Shaylee Sturgill, Kelsie Dean, Will Dean and Aaron Dean; brother and his wife, Carl and Darlene Dean, special nephew, Matthew Dean; brother-in-law, Gene Gambrell and a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Dwight's life will be held on Friday, September 8 , 2017 at 8 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Hughes. Following Dwight's wishes, he was cremated at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 until 8 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, is honored to serve the Dean Family. Visitation
