Dr. Rodney Alan Slusher

Dr. Rodney Alan Slusher, 39, of Pathfork, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 1, 2018 in Harlan, KY. He was born in Harlan on July 20, 1979, a son of Robert "Bob" and Kathy Eads Slusher. He received his Registered Nursing degree from Lincoln Memorial University and then went on to the Sherman School of Chiropractic where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. Dr. Slusher's Practice in Harlan was called Harlan County Chiropractic. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Eads, grandmother, Seretta Slusher and uncle, Wade Eads. Survivors include his son, Cameron Slusher of Harrogate, TN; parents, Robert and Kathy Slusher of Pathfork; brother, Eric Slusher of Putney, KY; sister-in-law, Melody Slusher of Putney, KY; nephew, Nathan Slusher of Putney; grandmother, Thelma Eads; special cousin, Jason Howard; aunt, Rhonda (Tim) Collins; aunt, Linda (Robert) Howard; uncle, Michael (Laurie) Eads; uncle, Johnny (Donna) Slusher; uncle Don (Thelma) Slusher and aunt, Betty Woodcock; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday at the Blackstar Pentecostal Church with Rev. Jerry Collins, Rev. J.C. Craig and Rev. Ronnie Oplinger. Family and friends will provide music. Burial will be in the Saylor Cemetery at Pathfork with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday after 6:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Slusher Family.
