Dr. Bienvenido Apostol Cabuay, Sr.

Dr. Bienvenido Apostol Cabuay, Sr., 89 of Pineville, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Pineville Community Health Center. He was born in Manila, Philippines, the son of the late Jose Ferrer Cabuay and Crispina Cabuay. Bienvenido was a believer in the Baptist Faith and a member of the First Baptist Church in Pineville. He was a Kentucky Colonel and had been an Emergency Medical Doctor for the Pineville Community Hospital.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Alfredo Cabuay, Conrado Cabuay, Delia Cabuay, and Felicitas Cabuay.

Bienvenido is survived by his wife, Gracy McLeod Cabuay; sons, Benpierre M. Cabuay, Attorney & Mrs. Bienvenido “Jun-Jun” Cabuay, Jr; and Dr. & Mrs. Barry Cabuay; grandchildren, Hannah Huffman, Stella Cabuay, Madeleine Cabuay, Gavin Cabuay, and Lachlen Cabuay; and siblings, Elena Cabuay, Geraldo Cabuay, Herminia Cabuay, Ildefonso Cabuay, and Joven Cabuay; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Private funeral services will be held at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville with Rev. Ron Howard presiding. Entombment will be held at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
