Doug Owens, age 63, of Clinton, formerly of Speedwell, TN passed away unexpectedly on the first day of spring, March 20, 2011. Doug was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed all kinds of music, taught himself to play guitar and mandolin and was a great story-teller. His wonderful stories and sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Preceded in death by parents, Jake and Grace Owens; sister Martha Williams and husband, Jemsey; Jake Owens, Jr. and wife, Joan; brother-in-law, Audie Tinnel.

Survivors, wife, Cathy Owens; sister, Sondra Tinnel, brothers, James, Mack, Alburn and wife, Glenda Owens all of Speedwell, Ken Owens and wife Sandy of LaFollette, TN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
