Dorothy "Dot" Terry

Dorothy 'Dot' Ayers Terry, 82, of Pineville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Pineville Community Hospital Long Term Care. She was born in Wheeler, VA on April 25, 1933, a daughter of the late White and Ida Nelson Ayers. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pineville and had been a homemaker. She belonged to the Pineville Homemakers and Friendship Clubs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Edward Terry, sons, Eddie Terry and Randy Terry, brothers and sisters, Roy, Earl and Cecil Ayers, Georgia Pridemore and Flossie 'Sis' Asher. She is survived by sons, Mark Terry and Jimbo Terry and wife, Karen; daughter-in-law, Debbie Terry; grandsons, Jeff Terry, Derek and Brittany Terry and Justin Terry; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Atley and Anson Terry, special little boys, Riley and Kaden, brother-in-law, Wayne Bishop; sister-in-law, Goldie Ayers and a host of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Howard. Burial will be in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery in Pineville. Pallbearers will be Jeff Terry, Derek Terry, Justin Terry, Ethan Terry, Terry Wayne Bishop and Dale Ayers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jerry Woolum, Dr. Martha Combs-Woolum and the staff at Pineville Community Hospital. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Terry Family.
