Dorothy Evelyn (Moore) Roe

Dorothy Evelyn Moore Roe, 90. passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital.  She was born in Colmer, KY on April 6, 1927 a daughter of the late John Andrew  and Lucy Parker Renner.  She was saved in October, 1949 and was currently a member of West Cumberland Avenue Baptist Church, Middlesboro, KY.  She was a graduate of Bell County High School and National Business College and was an Accountant by Trade.  She had been employed by Blue Diamond Coal Company, Fork Ridge, TN for 4 1/2 years.  She and her husband started the H & R Block Office here in Middlesboro and Pineville and she was over ten other Block Office in SE KY and TN.  She has her own bookkeeping and Income Tax Office for over twenty years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, her husband, Donald Speed Roe; brothers, Harry F. (Della), Casper "Tip" (Evelyn), James L. (Beatrice) and J.D. Moore, several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by three children, Donald S. Roe, Jr., John G. Roe and Denise M. Roe Gilbert, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at the Reece Funeral Home Valley Chapel with Rev. Danny Robbins.   Burial will be in the Harrogate Cemetery.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 until the funeral hour at the Reece Funeral Home Valley Chapel, Harrogate, which is honored to serve the Roe Family.
