Dorothy Baird Johnson, 76, of Fourmile, KY went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was born in Chenoa, KY on August 19, 1948, and was a daughter of the late Luther and Sally Baird. Dorothy had been a minister and was a member of the Abundant Harvest Church and had been a Christian for over 50 years. She had also been a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Wayne Johnson; a granddaughter, Ashley Johnson; siblings, JB Baird, Nellie Payne, James Hurl Baird, Dolan Baird, and John Baird.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Sheila Johnson, Ronnie and Janet Johnson, Charles and Michelle Johnson, Luke and Alisa Johnson, Tammy and Dale Middaugh, Gregory Dean Johnson and Elizabeth Warren, Angela Johnson and Charles Girdner, and Shawn and Johnny Daniels; adopted children , Jessica Johnson, Kristen Johnson, and Jeremiah Johnson and wife, Melissa; step-son, Charles Johnson and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Amber and Adam Smith, Dustin and Susan Johnson, Cameron and Whitney Johnson, Sequoyah and Adam Brambley, Addison and Katherine Middaugh, Jesse Johnson, Justin and Amanda Reed, Jamie and LaShay Reed, Hailey Reed and Parker McCarty, and Dalton and Anyssia Daniels; great-grandchildren, Trenton Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Ryker Johnson, Isaiah Smith, Amelia Smith, Skylar Gray, Ellie Grace Middaugh, Makaya Patterson, Brynlee Dean, Kiara Cloud, Abagail Johnson, Aubree Collett, Maverick Johnson, Alivia Reed, Avery Reed, Leah Reed, Samuel Reed, Remington Senters, Indiana Mason, Liliana Mason, John Wayne Mason, Alayiah Daniels, Ander Daniels, Sydney Faith Middaugh, Sloane McCarty and Aspyn Reed; sisters, Betty Sue Browning and Linda Hall; brother and sisters-in-law, Charles Payne, Diane Baird, special sister-in-law and best friend, Sudie Baird, special mentions to Larry and Glenda Baird, Doris Baird, Pauline Johnson and daughter, Debbie, Ted Williams and James Hatfield and a host of relatives and many friends.
Services will be on Friday, March 14,2025, at 12: 00 Noon at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. David McGregor and Rev. Bill Engle. The music will be by Sequoyah Brambley, Skylar Gray, Makaya Patterson, Tiffany Baird and Cheyanne Baird.
Burial will follow at the Chenoa Cemetery in Frakes. The pallbearers will be Justin Reed, Jeremiah Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Jamie Reed, Dalton Daniels, Cameron Johnson, and Addison Middaugh.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Johnson Family.
