Doris Lee Howard

Doris Lee Howard, age 77, of Hulen, KY, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in London, KY on Saturday, October 21, 2017. She was born in Insul, KY on May 24, 1940 a daughter of the late French and Ruby Buttery Simpson. She had worked as a Nurse's Aid for many years at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Howard and granddaughter, Rebecca Simpson Muncy. Survivors include her children, Ronnie (Alice) Simpson, Steve (Ashley) Howard, George 'Tooter' (Samantha) Howard, James Howard, Tonya Sims and Jacqueline (Bobby) Luttrell; grandchildren, Shane and Cody Boggs, Jacklyn Luttrell, Jackson and Emery Howard, Maggie Howard, Madison and Ethan Howard; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Matthew Moses, Skylar, Alexis and Cason Boggs; sisters, Mary Simpson, Roberta Slusher and Loretta (Ancil) Stewart and Audrey Bailey and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Messer. Music will be by Faye Messer. Burial will follow in the Upland Cemetery at Cardinal with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 until 8 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Howard Family.
