Donnie Holland, 74 of Flat Lick, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at his home. He was born in Cary on March 11, 1952, a son of the late John and Flora Miller Holland. Donnie liked the outdoors, boating, and fishing. He was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was a loving father, brother, and grandfather. Donnie had been a coal miner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Brilla Holland, and siblings, Leslie “Lige” Holland and Vickie Holland.
Donnie is survived by his daughter, Jennifer and David Jordan; son, Jamie Holland, his girlfriend, Stacey and her son, Kash; grandchildren, Matthew and Samantha Slusher and Benjamin and Monica Slusher; great-grandchildren, Mackinlee Slusher, Avery Slusher, Colton Slusher, and Isabella Slusher; siblings, Imajean Gambrel, Judy Dozier, John Henry Holland, Michael Holland, Rodney Holland, Joann Lambert, Darlene Holland, Lisa and Ronnie Hubbard, and Jeffery Holland; special niece, Tish Bishop; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family would like to send a special Thank You to the Bluegrass Care Navigators, especially Nikki, Nettie, and Dena, for their compassion, comfort, and care.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wagner presiding. Burial will follow at the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Matthew Slusher, Benjamin Slusher, David Jordan, Kevin Amaya, and Johnny Bishop.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Holland Family.
