Donna Mcgaffee Stewart

Donna Lynn McGaffee Stewart, 70, of Pineville passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Tinsley on October 25, 1946 a daughter of the late Estil 'Dick' McGaffee and Leah Dean McGaffee. She was the granddaughter of the late John McGaffee and Minnie Carter McGaffee and John Dean, Sr., and Kate Gibson Dean. Donna was saved at Hosman Baptist Church at an early age and was a member for the remainder of her life. She played the piano at the church for many years until she became disabled and she also loved to sing with one of her favorites being 'Thank You Lord for Your Blessings on Me.' Donna was a 1964 graduate of Lone Jack High School. She was a member of the band and also a cheerleader for the Mustangs. She was a graduate of Knoxville Business College. Donna worked for 42 years for three doctors, Dr. David Asher, Dr. Martin Mangan and Dr. Shawn Fugate as an office manager. She married Shelby Stewart on August 5, 1967 at Hosman Baptist Church, this marriage lasted 49 years 'until death do us part.' She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her husband, Shelby Stewart; brothers, Larry (Bonnie) McGaffee of Pathfork; Bill (Linda) McGaffee of Cumberland Gap, TN; John (Tammy) McGaffee of Pineville; sister, Mary Kay (Roger) Mills of Pineville; nieces, Trina (Ronnie) Fuson, Jamie Lynn (Chris) Ross, Jonna (Justin) Brown, Michelle (Danny) Yonker, Karen (Greg) Miracle; nephews, Ryan McGaffee, Andrew McGaffee and Shane (Sydney) Stewart; great-nieces, Leah and Hannah Jones, Caroline Miracle, Ashlyn Stewart; great-nephews, Chris (Brittany) Fuson, Randy (Brandi) Fuson, Nathan Miracle and Conner Stewart; Great-great-nieces, Reagan and Rylee Fuson; great-great-nephew, Bently Fuson and a host of cousins and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Helton and Elder Ricky Dorton. Music will be by Mickey Wilder. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Slusher, Colby Slusher, Shane Stewart, Greg Miracle, Danny Yonker, Andrew McGaffee, Chris Ross and Ronnie Fuson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Shawn Fugate, Dr. Steve Morgan, Bobby Philpot, Everett Emery, Glenn Peace, Harold Combs, Eddie Saylor, Shawn Fugate, II, Nicholas Fugate and all her cousins, Pineville Hospital Home Health employees, all co-workers she has worked with, all present and former members of Hosman Baptist Church. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, visits, phone calls and cards during Donna's time of sickness. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Stewart family.
