Donald Ray Laws

Donald Ray Laws, 86 of LaFollette, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born in Wallsend on October 6, 1936, a son of the late Berry Paul and Nanny Elaine Crisp Laws. Donald had been a heavy equipment operator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Sue Helton Laws; and siblings, Audrey Adkins and Jess Laws.

Donald is survived by his wife, Lillian Christine Laws; daughters, Jane Laws Broyles and Nancy Van Bever and husband, Chris; son, Donald Paul Laws and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Aaron Broyles and wife, Emily, Patrick Broyles, Katherine Grace Van Bever, and Jared Van Bever; great-grandchildren, Isaac Broyles, Lincoln A. Broyles, and Emma Cate Broyles; sisters, Betty Jenkins and Margaret Garrison and husband, Sam; sister-in-law, Linda Bolton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Mr. Aaron Broyles presiding. Burial will follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
