Dianne McNew Crosson

August 5, 1954 — December 20, 2025

While enjoying an extended visit with her son Andrew in Spain, Dianne was beautifully privileged to lie down for a nap and, unexpectedly, awaken in eternity with her Savior. Dianne made an incredible impact on many lives, even though she preferred to serve behind the scenes. Created by God with profound gifts of mercy and grace, she consistently invested herself in the last and the least, faithfully and humbly going about her life’s work.

Dianne was born and raised in Cumberland Gap, and, as an adult, lived in several states before settling in Alabama. She lovingly raised two sons and supported her family through her work as a bookkeeper. She retired in 2020 and moved to Florida to take on her full-time and most cherished role: being Granna. According to her beloved grandchildren, Granna lived “in our backyard” or “in our garage”—a renovated mother-in-law suite on Tyler and Tiffany’s property. She was well known for spoiling the kids with after-school treats, sneaking in extra screen time for movies and shows, and hosting countless sleepovers. She rarely missed a game or event and embraced her role as Granna with joy and devotion.

She deeply loved time with her grandchildren, keeping up with or hearing stories of her son Andrew’s international adventures, and visiting with her siblings—often reminiscing over the same family memories and every time laughing like it was the first time they’d heard the story. Dianne was a quiet person, but in the right mood, her clever wit and sense of humor would shine through.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Odus and Lenora McNew, and two infant brothers. She is survived by her sons, Tyler (Tiffany) Crosson and Andrew (Mattias) Crosson; her grandchildren, Judah (10) and Juliet (8); her sisters, Vivian Treadway and Judy (Jack) Treadway; and her brother, Stanley McNew.

All who wish to honor Dianne’s life are invited to Arnette & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate, TN, on Saturday, December 27 for visitation at 1:00pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are welcome, or in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dianne’s honor to a cause close to her heart.

Though she is now fully present with her Savior, Dianne’s earthly body will be laid to rest privately at Town Creek Memorial Gardens in Speedwell, Tennessee.

Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel, of Harrogate, Tennessee, is honored to serve the family and friends of Dianne McNew Crosson.
