Wayne Day

Dexter “Wayne” Day, 68, of Pineville, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. Joseph Lexington. He was born in Harlan, KY on June 2, 1956, a son of the late Redmond and Nancy Ann Couch Day. Wayne had been a Handy Man in construction and could do just about every job.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his partner of 35 years, Cheryll Chance; his brothers and sisters, Elhanon, Flossie “Sis”, Henry, Lee, Alec, Sue, Oscar and Edna.

Wayne is survived by his children, Billy Day, Jessica Day, Veronica Day, Nancy Day and Brad Dye, and Dexter Day;

grandchildren, Devon, Summer, Valeria, Alyssa, Aiden, Chloe, Greyson, Rylea and Makenley; brother, Rex and sisters, Katherine and Grace; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives and friends.

Following his request Wayne was cremated and private services will be held at a later date.
