Dexter McCoy Bush Bussell, age 81, of New Paris, Ohio, formerly of Harrogate, TN, died, Friday evening, October 5, 2007 at her daughter's residence after an extended illness. Born on January 1, 1926 in Luther, TN, she was the daughter of the late Dewey & Laura Ethel (Mills) McCoy. She had worked at the Atomic Energy Plant in Oak Ridge, TN; was a teacher's aide at Ellen Meyers School, Lincoln Memorial University, Clerk at Claiborne County Trustee's office during busy seasons, farmer and housewife. Member of Shawanee Baptist Church in Shawanee, TN. Preceded in death by husbands: Andrew Bussell, Leonard Bush and William Rittenberry; son: Ricky Lee Rittenberry; brothers: Earl McCoy and Jeptha McCoy; grandson: Richard Harrah and sister: Judith K. Heiskell. Survived by children: Brenda (Wayne) Gulley of New Paris, OH, Geneva (Morris) Harrah of Meadow Bridge WV, Jeanette (Frank) Mulholland and Lillard Bush both of Zepheys Hills, FL, Willard K. Bush of Sylvester, GA. and Dorothy Evans of Pleasant View, TN.; 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; brothers, Pierce McCoy of Beaver Creek, OH, Hubert (Jane) McCoy of Athens, TN; sisters, Vergie (Ed) Rose of Beaver Creek, OH, Dorothy (Maldry) Byrd of Little Rock, AR, Bonnie McCluskey of Norcross, GA and Dora (John) Hicks of Knoxville, TN; sisters-in-law, Janet (Mrs. Jeptha) McCoy Beaver Creek, OH and Luty (Earl) McCoy; nieces, nephews and special friend of 62 years, Mildred Wilson Nix and Wayne & Carolyn Sexton. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel with Rev. Tip Moore officiating. Music by Dewey Gilbert and Barbara Owens. Interment will be in Harrogate Cemetery. Pallbearers: Wayne Gulley, David Herrmann, Dwayne Gulley, Wayne Secton, Don Gulley, Johnny Coward.
