Dewey "Buzzard" Helton

Dewey 'Buzzard' Helton, 65, of Kettle Island passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Beverly, KY on March 12, 1951 a son of the late Jonas Helton and Lucy Brock Caldwell. He had worked in Strip Mining. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Jerome Caldwell; brothers and sisters, David Caldwell, Carl Wayne Caldwell, Dennis Helton, James Helton, Carl Helton, Delbert Helton, Elvie Helton, Judy Bailey, Alifair Jones and Gertrude Helton. Survivors include his daughter, Billie Helton; grandchildren, Austin, Dewayne and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Brylee and Brooklyn; brothers and sisters, Sonny Caldwell, Floyd Caldwell, Lawrence Caldwell, JC Caldwell, Jarvis Caldwell, Jimmy Caldwell, Baxter Caldwell, Jerome, Jr. Caldwell, Arthur Caldwell, Jeffrey Caldwell, Ralph Caldwell, Denver Helton, Bobby Helton, Ada Mae Helton, Lillie Helton, Irene Wright, Christine Blevins and Brenda Hansen and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Caldwell-Brock Cemetery at Stoney Fork with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
