Denise Helen Mason

Denise Helen Mason, 66 of Middlesboro, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at her home. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 27, 1958, a daughter of the late James Earl and Chloe Brock Houston. Denise had been a restaurant worker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruby Johnson, Kathy Smith, and Mary Ann Houston; and brothers, James W. Houston and Timothy Houston.

Denise is survived by her husband, Harold Mason; sons, James Widner and Kenneth and Cherae Widner; daughter, Martha Widner Leffler; grandchildren, Emma, Carly, Eva, Chloe, Jeff, Shawn, and McKayla; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Lou Ann Minton and Darlene West; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Dylan Slaven presiding.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Mason Family.
