Demps Duncan, 84 of Fourmile, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. He was born in Greasy Creek on June 10, 1939, a son of the late John and Cora Davenport Duncan. Demps had been a coal miner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Jones Duncan, and brothers, Isom Duncan and William Duncan.
Demps is survived by his children, Ramona and James Scheiderer, Regina Duncan, Rebecca and Mark Caldwell, Rick Duncan, and Melinda West; grandchildren, George and Lisa Dunn, Nacole and Greg Mills, Amanda Fridel, Angela and Roy Parm, Anthony Marshall, Bradley and Ashley Caldwell, Makalia and Cody, Maddison and Robbie, Matthew, Julie, Jessie, and Shannon; twenty-two great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; brother, Daniel Duncan; sisters, Thelma Jean Goodin and Freda Valentine; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Fourmile Pentecostal Church with Rev. Bill Dunn Presiding. Music will be provided by the church family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the funeral hour at the Fourmile Pentecostal Church.
