Delphina Saylor Fugate

Delphina Saylor Fugate, 95, a prayer warrior all of her life, had her prayers answered this morning, May 8, 2015 when her Lord took her home. She was born in Molus, KY on March 27, 1920 a daughter of the late John P. and Flora Bell Howard Saylor. She had been a founding member of Lighthouse Christian Center for many years, where she was their Secretary/Treasurer, Sunday School Teacher and Youth Leader. Delphina was a Real Estate Investor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shady Fugate, Jr.; daughter, Wanda Faye Lefevers; brothers and sisters, Emanuel Saylor, Deward Saylor and Ilena Ward. Survivors include her children, Georgiana Lefevers Miller, Flora Lefevers Mattingly and J.P. Fugate; special son, Shawn Fugate; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Zena (Joseph) Ellis; special caregiver, Terry Baker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Long. Muisc will be by Shelby Long. Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery, Loyall with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11 until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Fugate Family.
