Della Mae Bushong

Della Mae Gibson Bushong, 61, of Ingram, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Pineville Community Hospital with her brother, Arwine Gibson by her side. She was born in Pineville on December 9, 1955, a daughter of Roxie Maiden Gibson and the late Arnold Gibson. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bushong and a sister, Difene Gibson, step-children, Mary Ann Philpot, Diane Philpot and Shirley Elliott. Survivors include her mother, Roxie Gibson; brothers and sisters, Linus and Mavis Gibson, Gilbert Gibson, Arwine Gibson, Kenneth Gibson, Berniece and Jerry Evans, Dianna and Leamon Daniel, Dewey Gibson and Brenda Baker, step-children, Jeannie Mason, Vickie Brock, Carrie Louise Bushong, Carol Linda Bushong, Gloria Hicks and Lloyd Bushong; nieces and nephews, Tiffany Bays , Jennifer and Jonathan Marsee, Thomas Arnold Baker, Hannah Gibson, Aleigha Gibson and David Gibson; great-niece and nephew, Nathan and Chloe Marsee, home health nurses, Bobbie Jean Messer and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Truman Partin, Rev. Mike Brooks and Rev. Paul Wayne Goodin. Music will be by The Stewart Family, Jewell Miller, Larry Sizemore and family. Burial will be in the Gibson Cemetery at Clear Creek. Pallbearers will be Linus Gibson, Gilbert Gibson, Arwine Gibson, Kenneth Gibson, Dewey Gibson and Jonathan Marsee. The family will receive friends on Friday and Saturday from 6 until 9:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center which is honored to serve the Gibson Family.
