Debbie Brock Asher

Debbie Brock Asher, 92, of Artemus, KY passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Barbourville Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born in Beverly on July 5, 1923 a daughter of the late Wilk and Emma Taylor Brock. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church, Beverly and had been a cook at the Redbird Hospital. She was a loved and cherished mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Asberry Asher , two sisters and five brothers. Survivors include her children and their spouses, David and Janet Asher; Betty and Harley Wilder; Shirley and Floyd Brown, Eugene and Lisa Asher; Tom Asher; Violet and Gary Miracle, Polly and Rodney Bailey; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Baxter Brock, Ford Brock, Ruby Swallows, Opal Asher and Thelma Brock, special friends, Vestina Saylor, Litha Taylor, John and Lorraine Saylor and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved her dearly. Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Polly and Rev. Wilkie Saylor. Music will be by Theda Polly, Polly Daughters and Wilkie Saylor. Burial will be in Red Bird Cemetery, Red Bird, KY. Pallbearers will be Rodney Wayne Bailey, Michael wilder, LLoyd Asher, Melvin Asher, Jerry Asher, James Boatright, Mark Radicchi and Steven Hite. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Asher Family.
