Dawanna Kay Ellis

Dawanna Kay Ellis, 53 of Frakes, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on August 7, 1965 and was the daughter of Cledith Jones Kishpaugh and the late Clarence Ellis. Dawanna worked in food services for Henderson Settlement School and Pine Mountain State Resort Park and loved to sing, paint and create beautiful art work. In addition to her mother, Cledith Kishpaugh, survivors include her longtime and loving companion, James Miracle; sister, Verllia Neal; brother, Willie "Junebug" Murray and wife, Lisa; and a host of cousins, other relatives and many, many friends she loved dearly. Funeral services will be at 8:00 PM on Saturday, December 22 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Kishpaugh and Mr. Carl Kishpaugh. Music will be by The Third Shift Band, of which Dawanna was a member. Burial will be in the Partin-Jones Cemetery at Lower Laurel Fork. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville which is honored to be serving the family of Dawanna Ellis.
