David Hampton

David Hampton, 65 of London, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 16, 1956, a son of the late Joe and Lois “Birdie” Bothe Hampton. He had been a Preacher at several churches, including, Blackmont Baptist Church, Calloway Baptist Church, Hillman Baptist in Michigan and Brook View Baptist in Louisville, Kentucky. He was an avid fisherman and loved his grandchildren very much. David was a big fan of Kentucky Basketball and Football. He also loved sports in general and talking stats with his grandson, Elijah. He loved to travel the United States and he also loved family gatherings while singing and playing music with family. David is survived by his wife of 17 years, Patty Taylor Hampton; sons, Casey Hampton and wife, Kaci and Jake Hampton and wife, Savannah; grandchildren, Elijah, Camilla Belle, Joshua, Daniel and Jess; brothers, Joey Hampton of Indiana, Jimmy Hampton of Kentucky and Kenny Hampton of Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
