Darlene Hobbs. 62 of Middlesboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the Middlesboro ARH. She was born in Pineville on December 1, 1961, a daughter of the late Eugene and Betty Brock Jackson. Darlene was a believer in the Primitive Baptist Faith and had been a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Hobbs, Sr.; son, Brandon Dale Jackson; and brother, David Jackson.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Brittany Raines and husband, Daniel; sons, Andrew James Hobbs, Jr. and wife, Krystal, and John Wendell Hobbs; grandchildren, Dalton, Alex, Landon, Chelsea, Gabriel, Sam, and Skylar; grandpups, Shredder, April, and Splinter; brother, Steve Jackson and wife, Cheryl; sister-in-law, Babette Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the Powell Valley Association Building on Laurel Hill with Rev. David Howard presiding. Burial will follow at the Eugene Jackson Cemetery in Pineville. Pallbearers will be David Jackson, Donald Jr Jackson, Tyler Jackson, Derrick Jackson, Rodney Miracle, Daniel Raines, Jeff Hobbs, and Bobby Simpson. Honorary pallbearers will be John Hobbs, AJ Hobbs, Dalton, Alex, Landon, Gabriel, Sam, Robbie Hobbs, and Homer Wilson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Powell Valley Association Building on Laurel Hill.
