Daniel Hensley

Daniel Hensley, 81, went on to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was a faithful member of Straight Creek Pentecost Holiness Church. Daniel was a retired coal miner and a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was born August 19, 1933 to the late Albert and Myrtle Jones Hensley. He was also proceeded in death by one son, Ricky Hensley, brothers Arnold , Bobby, Charles, Eugene and Leroy Hensley, one sister, Margie Gambrel. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife of 62 years Betty Hensley of Ingram, daughters, Dorothy (Dennis) Laws of Gray, Joyce (Lenny) Sturgill of Ingram, Gale (Harmon) North of Ingram; Debbie (Paul, Jr.) Shepherd of Ingram; sons, Larry (Teresa) Hensley of Harrogate, TN; Loyd (Teresa) Hensley of Straight Creek and Carl Hensley of Pineville; daughter-in-law, Eva Hensley of Straight Creek; brother, Don (Janice) Hensley of Straight Creek; sister, Virgie Smith of Arjay; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, many friends and church family. Special recognition to the staff at the Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for being so good to our father and family. Services will be Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Straight Creek Pentecost Holiness Church with Rev. John Neal and Rev. Thomas Bishop. Music will be by the church singers. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens with grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 9 PM at Arnett & Steel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Hensley Family.
