Dale Allen Mayberry, Jr.

Dale Allen Mayberry, Jr., 55 of Barbourville, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on July 30, 1968, the son of the late Dale Allen Sr. and Loretta Reed Mayberry. Dale had been the Band Director at Pineville High School until his retirement. He had a love for band music and will be funding a scholarship for students interested in music at the University of the Cumberlands.

Dale is survived by his wife of 28 years, Deborah Byington Mayberry; daughter, Sarah Mayberry; son, David Mayberry; sister, BethAnn Kohlhorst and husband, Eric; nieces, Hannah Kohlhorst and Rachel Kohlhorst; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Nicholas Tanner James presiding.
