Curtis Moyers, age 78, of Speedwell, departed this life on May 5, 2008 at Claiborne County Hospital. He professed faith in Christ at an early age and attended Old Carr's Chapel Baptist Church in Speedwell. Mr. Moyers worked many years for Claiborne Co. Highway Department. After retiring, he took over the family business, Moyers Cash Store in Speedwell. His hobbies were reading and music.

(& Sandra) Moyers; Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Reece Valley Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Herrin officiating. Music provided by Ashley Taylor and Aly Taylor. Gravesdie service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Carr Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Moyers, Tony Moyers, Greg Moyers, Russell Taylor, Roger Robbins, and Hugh Spradlin. Honorary pallbearers will be Doyle Rogers, Dorsey Humfleet, Don Williams, Johnny Smith, Caregivers at Tri-State Health Care and Claiborne County Hospital.
