Curtis D. Hunter, 76, of Pineville, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at his home. He was born in Pineville, KY on November 1, 1938 and was a son of the late Harvey H. and Dora Ethel Baker Hunter. He had retired from Ford Motor Company in Lima, Ohio where he worked as Hot Test Operator and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, James Hunter, Eugene Hunter, Sewell Hunter, Elbert Hunter, Edith Simpson and Verda Mason. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Treecie Tennyson Hunter, his children, Curtis David Hunter, Melanie Gay Hunter and Penny Denise Hunter, grandchildren, Ryan, Holly, Chris, Melinda, Joshua, Ashley, Stephen and Molly, 15 great-grandchildren, brother and sisters, Roger and Tammy Hunter, Cathy and Ray Fuson and Katy and Gary Hinkle, sisters-in-law, Lois Hunter, Carol Hunter, Linda Walters and Joyce Miller,and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 12 at Fuson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Denny Hunter and Rev. Clint Goodin. Music will be by Linda Brock, MacKenzie Brock and Barry Barton and the Fuson Chapel Choir. Burial will be in the Fuson Chapel Cemetery at Little Clear Creek with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 9:00 PM at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Hunter Family.
